It’s a film photo series shot during the “Absurd Skateboards” skate trip to the city of Vorkuta, the Komi Republic, Russia. The trip was a metaphorical skate research project looking for new ways to work with the shocks and frustrations of the current moment in hope for a better future. The northern mining city built above the Arctic Circle is one of the most distanced place skaters have ever reached. It suffers from difficulties and recession nowadays. But can skateboarding be a solution?

@radioromansa is a one-woman project by Lenka, a DJ, urban planner, and skater from Belgrade. It began as a school project mapping Roma music across the Balkans, leading to a diverse collection of oriental Balkan Roma sounds. Today, Radio Romansa blends Balkan Roma rhythms with Brazilian baile, club beats, kizomba, and more. After living in Portugal and Belgium, Lenka returned to Belgrade in July 2025, continuing to explore music in local clubs and across Europe. Since January 2024, Radio Romansa has been a monthly show on We Are Various, showcasing tracks rooted in Balkan Roma culture with various influences.
@juuuuuuuuuupi is a curious duo from Ljubljana with an affinity for obscure tracks and a passion for weaving together soulful, taste-expanding finds; they curate their selections across numerous electronic and organic styles. They intend to explore how they wondrously relate to one another, all while having loads of imminent & highly contagious fun.
