This Wednesday is the premiere of Kerbside, a show hosted by Chokey, a Belgrade-born artist who has spent years living inside music: digging through it, playing it, and sharing it with anyone willing to listen.
Each episode, Chokey invites a guest to play alongside him, and what follows is less a performance than a conversation told through records. Every episode is different: there’s no fixed route and no set destination, only a shared willingness to see where the music leads. The guests are artists, selectors, collectors, and friends, each arriving with their own taste, history, and story about how they found their sound. At its core, Kerbside is about long, intimate sets with a flow that builds all the way to the last record. That’s how it should be done.
The first guest is AM Hi, a DJ and promoter active on the local and regional scene since 2017. His sets are performative, dynamic and intense, driven by emotion and sex drive. AM Hi is also one of the founders of Belgrade Rave Squad, a platform that connects emerging artists in the region and helps them grow.
