OBI BLANCHE

OBI BLANCHE (FI) @obiblanche Monday at Škart, Belgrade | 6–10 PM Finnish-born, Berlin-shaped musician, producer, instrument builder and DJ Obi Blanche has spent over two decades moving between underground electronic music, post-punk and experimental guitar sounds. His releases have appeared on labels including RAAR, Tigerbeat6 and INFRA, alongside remix work for !K7, Mad Decent and Kitsuné, and collaborations with artists such as Thomas Azier and Anika, with whom he also performed at Boiler Room Berlin. His work has also appeared on Erol Alkan’s acclaimed Another Bugged Out Mix for !K7, while Alkan has played Obi’s tracks and remixes in his DJ sets around the world over the years. Recently recognised by Finland’s Teosto Global Breakthrough programme, Obi continues to explore new territory through his solo work and his post-digital punk project with Belgrade artist Kristina Tica. He builds his own experimental guitars and instruments, using them to develop new sounds and approaches to making and performing music. For this special Monday session at Škart, Obi will dig into his own archive, playing music from across his releases, rare edits, remixes and previously unheard, unreleased material. Come by, have a listen and say hello! Obi is keen to meet more people from Belgrade’s music and art scene while he’s in town. https://postdigitalpunk.cargo.site/booking https://open.spotify.com/artist/1vNRK8KSNju3x69sWDSsNA?si=yWX95lUIQxijV5ht7NB9pg https://www.mixcloud.com/ObiBlanche/ Boiler Room: https://youtu.be/Loi8RScKE-k
