BETWEEN CONTROL AND CHANCE Movement workshop by Mina Ćirić @mina_ciric 09.09.26 19:30 Entry: 1000 What happens when we stop trying to control every movement? In dance, as well as in life. :) This workshop explores the space between intention and spontaneity, structure and freedom, control and chance. Through movement and improvisation, we will experiment with how the body can respond, adapt and discover rather than simply execute. The workshop will also include original choreographic material, which we will use not simply as something to learn and reproduce, but as a starting point for further exploration. Together, we will play with different ways of approaching, transforming and developing the material, allowing it to become a tool for discovering new possibilities in movement. The workshop is led by Mina Ćirić, a contemporary choreographer, dancer and playwright/screenwriter, holding degrees in both Choreography and Dramaturgy. She works both within her own independent theatre and dance collective, Pocket Theatre, and as a collaborator on a wide range of projects by other artists and organisations. Her work is characterized by a strong connection between dramaturgical thinking and dance, exploring how dramaturgy can inform and shape choreographic and performative processes.
